Job summary

CAI Cox Automotive Corp Svcs., LLC is looking for a Driver to operate vehicles safely within auction environments. You will be responsible for driving vehicles to designated areas, assisting with vehicle operations, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate requires a valid driver’s license and must display safety commitment along with physical capability for various driving duties. Benefits include health care insurance and flexible paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, walk long distances, stand, reach, talk and hear.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb frequently.
• Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
• Vision: close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Previous auction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction sale lanes on designated sale days in a safe manner.
• Assist with starting vehicles as needed: inflate tires, jump-start using battery.
• Notify supervisor when vehicles are inoperative or out of gas.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.

Job Overview

Location: Specified Cox location. Hours: Work shift day. Compensation: Hourly rate of $15.52, with possible commission or incentive programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction sale lanes on designated sale days in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to customer dealerships and businesses, observing driving rules and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate lost vehicles.
• Assist with starting vehicles as needed: inflate tires, jump‑start using battery box and air tank.
• Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative or out of gas; notify Service or Gas Truck Driver accordingly.
• Assist customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies) and coworkers as needed.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling safety behaviors.
• Participate in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
