Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring for a position that involves moving, staging, and parking vehicles on Auction property. You will drive vehicles to and from lots and customer sites, and navigate sale lanes during auction days while strictly following safety rules. The role runs Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

The job pays $21.10 per hour with potential overtime. Requirements include a valid driver's license, ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions, and physical capability

Qualifications

• Safe driving and a valid driver's license required.
• Ability to operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Must be able to enter/exit vehicles repeatedly and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and observe safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through auction lanes in a safe manner.
• Move and park vehicles on auction premises and at customer sites.
• Locate lost vehicles and align them in the correct order as directed.
• Assist with vehicle operation needs, including basic maintenance like tires or jumps.
• Support customers and coworkers and maintain safety procedures.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

This position is responsible for the safe moving, staging and parking of vehicles on Auction

property, driving vehicles to and from Auction lots and customer businesses, and driving

vehicles through Auction sale lanes on designated sale days and in compliance with Auction

safety rules and regulations.

Work Schedule is Monday-Friday, 12:00PM - 8:30PM

Pay Rate: $21.10

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.


• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing Auction driving rules, rules of the road and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.


• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or tea leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate \"lost\" vehicles.


• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed. If necessary, inflate tires and jump start vehicles using a battery box and air tank. Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify Service or Gas Truck Driver when vehicle is out of gas.


• Assist customers (i.e., dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.


• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment y following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.


• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications:

• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.


• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.


• Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles.


• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.


• Ability to walk long distances.


• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.


• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.


• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.


• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Previous auction experience preferred.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
