Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Salaried Sous Chef at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. You will support culinary operations for student dining, supervise activities, and help develop menus while coordinating with the Executive Chef/Chefs to ensure quality and efficiency.

You will lead in developing daily menus, supervising hourly associates, and collaborating to implement new programs, with growth opportunities as the organization expands on campus.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary/kitchen management.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Comfort with computer systems and basic software usage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost controls and manage expenditures for the account.
• Assist with planning and creating menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Foster strong client relationships to align programs with objectives and drive satisfaction.
• Perform other duties to support efficient dining service operations.
