Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking an Associate Safety Trainer to help maintain the Company Safety Program. You will conduct safety orientation, field training, and regulatory compliance tasks, serving as a liaison between field employees and the EHS department.

The role requires strong safety commitment, ability to train groups, and proficiency with Google apps. Travel; flexibility with hours; and DOT health card are part of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to present/speak in front of groups.
• Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Team oriented, prioritizing organizational needs.
• Proficient with computer hardware/software including Google apps.
• First aid/CPR/AED trainer credentials preferred or obtainable.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
• Maintains current DOT health card; valid driver’s license; CDL-A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation and Field Safety Training weekly.
• Review DriveCam footage to assess drivers and update systems; attend coaching calls.
• Schedule, document, and track employee training and operator qualification records.
• Review LMS to ensure timely completion; coordinate with management.
• Conduct specialized equipment training and testing.
• Prepare employee-related documentation with Safety & Risk Director and HR.
• Participate in audits initiated by regulatory entities.
• Travel as required; perform other duties as assigned.
