Job summary

MTM Transit in Tucson is seeking a Manager, Safety & Training to lead safety initiatives, training programs, regulatory compliance, and employee development for our Tucson operations. You will partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to create a culture of safety while ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal requirements.

The role includes delivering classroom and hands-on training, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Transit safety management experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience working in a union environment.
• Knowledge of ADA, FTA, DOT regulations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety strategy, compliance programs, and audits.
• Deliver safety and training programs for staff.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Coordinate SMS initiatives and safety committees.
