Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services in Texas (Kyle) seeks a Safety Champion to lead the environmental, health and safety program at the location and work on the plant floor with heavy machinery. You will mentor and partner to pursue continuous improvement in safety culture and environmental management systems.

The role emphasizes implementing safety tools, conducting audits, and coordinating safety training for all staff to ensure compliance and safe operations on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience within safety training.
• Problem solving using safety tools & methodology.
• Understand critical tasks and work them through to completion.
• Systemic maintenance of records and task list.
• Demonstrated training facilitation skills.
• Team building - involve employees and leadership in process.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical aptitude to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Excellent computer skills - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio and Project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the implementation of the environmental, health & safety program for the location.
• Facilitates accidents/incidents investigations and root cause corrective actions; submits incident reports.
• Collects and submits safety metrics data.
• Conduct internal audits to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Coordinate or conduct safety training for all employees, focusing on PIT (Powered industrial Truck).
• Identify opportunities to implement Best Safety practices; monitor their implementation.
