Job summary

Rite-Hite is seeking a Safety Specialist to promote a safe, healthy work environment across two manufacturing sites. You will conduct hazard analyses, develop safety policies, and coordinate training programs for employees and managers.

This role supports OSHA/EPA compliance and contributes to ongoing safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years of related experience and proven ability to implement safety procedures and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1–2 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Knowledgeable about all state and federal OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Ability to develop and promote safety programs and train committees.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and promotes a safe, accident-free work environment at two sites.
• Conducts studies and analyses of industrial accident causes and health hazards.
• Formulates safety policies and procedures compliant with OSHA/EPA rules.
• Develops and maintains health and safety programs with site managers.
• Inspects facilities and recommends corrective measures for hazards.
• Trains and oversees site safety and ergonomic committees.
• Participates in accident investigations and prepares documentation for hearings.
• Supports workers' compensation administration and insurance coordination.
