Job summary

Jobot is seeking a proactive Safety Specialist to support safety operations across multiple electrical construction jobsites. This permanent role reports to the Branch Safety Manager and involves inspections, training delivery, hazard identification, and coordinating corrective actions with field supervision.

The ideal candidate has hands-on construction safety experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction training completed.
• Working knowledge of construction safety regulations and hazards.
• Ability to manage routine safety responsibilities across multiple projects.
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.
• Electrical safety training per NFPA 70E or ability to complete within 90 days.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and field observations across assigned projects.
• Identify hazards, document findings, recommend controls, and verify corrective action.
• Coordinate daily safety support across sites and communicate priorities to Branch Safety Manager.
• Review pre-task plans and Job Hazard Analyses with field supervision.
• Deliver new-hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and routine safety training.
• Support implementation of safety programs including fall prevention, ladder safety, electrical hazard awareness, and equipment safety.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and track corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
• Participate in project safety meetings and collaborate with Site Safety Managers and customer reps.
• Support PPE requirements, safety equipment, and engagement initiatives.
• Provide guidance to Safety Technicians and assist with field development.
• Escalate complex hazards and incidents to Branch Safety Manager.
