Job summary

Jobot is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to support safety operations across multiple electrical construction jobsites in New York. You will report to the Branch Safety Manager and independently handle routine safety tasks, including inspections, training delivery, hazard identification, and partnering with field supervision to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction training completed.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and electrical hazards.
• Ability to inspect sites, identify hazards, and communicate corrective actions.
• Ability to manage routine safety across multiple projects.
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites.
• Electrical safety training based on NFPA 70E, or ability to complete within 90 days.
• First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and field observations.
• Identify hazards, document findings, and verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate daily safety support across projects and escalate concerns.
• Review pre-task plans and JHAs with supervision.
• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks.
• Support safety programs including fall, ladder, electrical, and equipment safety.
• Assist with incident investigations and track corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training docs.
• Participate in project safety meetings with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to Safety Technicians and support field development.
• Escalate complex hazards to Branch Safety Manager.
