Job summary

Jobtailor in Tracy, CA is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to lead site safety programs and drive compliance with OSHA standards. You will conduct inspections, develop safe work plans, and deliver trainings to field teams.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction safety with OSHA certifications and strong communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish and a background in safety documentation are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of construction experience and 1+ year in a safety role (3+ years preferred).
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and construction safety practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and training skills.
• Ability to identify risks, make decisions, and take proactive action.
• OSHA 30, 500, EM385, CHST, or equivalent; CPR/First Aid Trainer; OSHA 510 (within 6 months) - Required.
• OSHA 500, CHST, or other relevant safety certifications - Preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish - Preferred.
• Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety - Preferred.
• Background screening, drug-free workplace, and possible post-offer physical and site-specific background check
