Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an on-site Safety Supervisor for construction projects in Arkansas. You will oversee safety administration, conduct daily equipment inspections, and lead field safety orientations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Responsibilities include reporting to HSE leadership, coordinating safety efforts, and investigating incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions. This role requires OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED, and STSC preferred, with travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction experience.
• 1 year of experience as on-site safety person.
• OSHA 30hr card for construction industry.
• First Aid, CPR, AED training completed.
• STSC training preferred.

• Document accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions, and unsafe behavior.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and instruct workers on safety practices and requirements.

• Assist in developing standardized job safety analyses, the corporate safety and health management program, and project-specific safety plans
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and instruct workers on company and project safety practices and requirements

Requirements

• 5 years of construction experience
• 1 year of experience as an on-site safety person
• OSHA 30hr card for the Construction Industry
• Completed First Aid, CPR, and AED training
• Specialized training relevant to scope of work
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and hazard control methods
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
• Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) preferred
• Ability to travel to job sites/office locations 5% of the time
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
• Ability to work in low and high indoor temperatures, outdoor precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind
• Ability to work in a noisy environment
• Ability to perform light work involving adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
