Job description

We are seeking a Safety Specialist for the Stockton area to support and lead safety programs in the utility construction industry.

Qualifications
  1. A minimum of five years' experience supporting or leading safety programs to protect workers and the public, complying with federal, state, and local regulations.
  2. At least two years' experience overseeing industries related to utility construction.
  3. Willingness to travel 75% of the time within 100 miles of Stockton.
Responsibilities
  1. Oversee safety for overhead and underground high voltage electrical work.
  2. Provide dedicated safety support within the contract scope.
  3. Manage work practices and procedures to eliminate serious injuries and fatalities.
  4. Coordinate efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and procedures.
  5. Conduct orientations for all employees and subcontractors.
  6. Fulfill company or customer training requirements.
  7. Conduct field safety observations and implement corrective actions.
  8. Identify opportunities to improve work practices and procedures.
  9. Manage incident reporting and investigations.
  10. Utilize company vehicle and credit card for travel expenses.
  11. Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Additional Requirements

Must have a clean driving record and pass the required drug test.
