Overview

The Perinatal Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing and supporting perinatal patient safety and quality initiatives. This role combines clinical expertise with a focus on patient safety to provide high-quality care to pregnant women and their families, adhering to all relevant standards. The specialist will participate in quality improvement projects to enhance perinatal care and foster a culture of safety.

Responsibilities
  • Promote safe care for mothers and babies
  • Support and oversee perinatal safety programs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required; Master’s preferred
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in Women’s Services
  • 1+ years of project experience in Perinatal Safety (2+ preferred)
  • Experience with quality/process improvement techniques
  • Current RN license in applicable state
  • Certifications: CCRN-NEO, C-EFM, RN-BC MCN, or others (must obtain within 6 months)
  • BLS and NRP certifications (NRP within 90 days)

This position requires travel to Layton, UT, and West Valley, UT.
