Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Specialist for the Stockton area to support and lead safety programs in the utility construction industry.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years' experience supporting or leading safety programs to protect workers and the public, meeting federal, state, and local regulations.
• A minimum of two years' experience in overseeing the industries responsible for safety.
• Willing to travel 75% of the time, within 100 miles from Stockton.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of overhead and underground high voltage electrical work.
• Provide dedicated safety support within the scope of the work awarded.
• Manage work practices and procedures to eliminate serious injuries and fatalities.
• Coordinate efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and procedures for all employees and subcontractors.
• Conduct company or customer safety training as required.
• Coordinate and conduct field safety observations and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve work practices and procedures.
• Manage incident reporting and compliance requirements.
