Eckerd Connects is seeking a Safety, Security & Transportation Manager for the Albuquerque Job Corps site. You will oversee daily safety operations, staff supervision, scheduling for 24/7 coverage, and the development of comprehensive safety and disaster plans to protect students, staff and property.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, police science or related field preferred.
• Three to five years' supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Pass a drug screen per policy.
• Employment is contingent on successful completion of a nationwide background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of Safety, Security & Transportation to ensure safety for students, staff, center property and community.
• Evaluate staff performance, provide training and implement personnel changes as approved.
• Develop and monitor staff schedules for 24/7 coverage.
• Develop and maintain Center Safety Plan and Emergency/Disaster/Weather plans; conduct risk assessments.
• Establish safety, security and fire prevention policies compliant with regulations; liaise with law enforcement.
• Monitor all center facilities for OSHA compliance.

Annual Salary: $54,000

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Safety, Security & Transportation Manager supervises the day-to-day operations of the Safety, Security and Transportation department to provide maximum safety and security for students, staff, center property and the surrounding community.
• The Safety, Security & Transportation Manager evaluatese staff performance and provides staff training and implement departmental personnel changes as approved by the Center Director.
• Develop and monitor staff schedules for 24-hour, 7 day a week coverage.
• Develop and maintain Center Safety Plan, and Emergency and Disaster Plan (and weather-related Evacuation Plan) and conduct the yearly risk assessment survey.
• Establishes and communicates safety, security, and fire prevention policies with pertinent center and DOL regulations to students and staff.
• Serves as the center's representative and maintains effective liaison with law enforcement agencies in the community.
• Responsible for monitoring all center facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA Standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, police science or related field preferred.
• Three to five year's work-related experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
