Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking an experienced Assistant Safety Manager for our Baltimore location to lead safety program compliance, recruit and train operator candidates, and promote strong safety leadership across the location.

The role focuses on ensuring federal, state, and local regulatory adherence, supervising safety operations for one or more locations, and providing guidance to management on safety performance and improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety leadership and program oversight.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Investigates incidents, accidents and injuries, determines preventability and follows up with claims offices.
• Provides post-accident counseling and retrains drivers as needed.
• Prepares and submits safety reports and compliance forms.
• Plans monthly safety meetings and participates in Safety Action Team meetings.
• Develops cost-saving safety improvements and tracks performance.
