Job summary

The City of Clarksville seeks a Safety and Risk Management Specialist to coordinate and monitor safety programs for designated departments. You will develop training, conduct audits, and maintain records to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
• Two years of experience in risk management, occupational safety and health.
• Valid Class D driver's license.
• Experience developing and delivering safety training and audits.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates safety training and audits ensuring compliance.
• Inspects facilities, work areas, equipment, vehicles, and life safety gear.
• Develops curriculums and conducts employee safety training.
• Interprets safety policies and regulations for staff.
• Investigates accidents and determines root causes with follow-up.
• Maintains safety incident records and corrective action proposals.
• Develops safety audit programs for departments.
• Performs other duties of similar scope.
