Job summary

Hayes Company/Knight Swift Warehousing and Fulfillment is seeking a Safety Coordinator to foster a safety-conscious culture in the Dallas Fort Worth area. The role focuses on developing safety programs, managing workers' compensation, and ensuring OSHA compliance, with 25% travel to the supporting location.

The candidate will lead safety trend analyses, emergency action planning, training, incident investigations, and cross-functional communication to protect employees across the 3PL operations.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing safety programs.
• Workers' compensation claims processing and reporting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Data management and analysis including database creation and maintenance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive safety programs.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims process and interact with employees, medical professionals, and insurers.
• Establish and maintain databases for tracking safety trends and incidents and implement improvements.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and update practices as regulatory changes occur.
• Develop and maintain emergency action plans including evacuation procedures and communication protocols.
• Provide safety training to employees, supervisors, and contractors; address compliance and emergency response.
• Manage incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
• Disseminate safety-related information, alerts, and updates to staff.
