Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a proactive Safety Specialist to lead and maintain a comprehensive safety program within the Fort Worth warehouse. You will work with Operations leadership and associates to prevent injuries, ensure OSHA compliance, and promote a strong safety culture while supporting newcomers.

The role involves data analysis, incident investigations, training, and collaboration with management to implement safety initiatives and 6S improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough knowledge of S&S Activewear policies, SOPs and safety guidelines to prevent injuries and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze safety data for trends and communicate improvements with leadership.
• Conduct and review incident investigations for incidents and near misses.
• Review and manage workers' compensation case management.
• Perform documented safety inspections and observations.
• Provide comprehensive safety training to new and existing employees, including refresher trainings.
• Keep Management and Safety Team updated on changes in safety regulations.
• Assist Operations with safety improvements by researching requirements and evaluating compliance.
• Implement and oversee safety plans, ensuring consistent safe behaviors and recognition.
• Implement, enforce, and oversee 6S in all warehouse areas.
• Develop action plans for safety initiatives and coordinate safety committee activities.
