Job summary

Suncore is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety efforts across the Wasatch Front, local to Spanish Fork, UT. You will mentor a team of safety professionals, partner with project and field leaders, and shape a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.

You will develop and continuously improve safety policies, conduct inspections, oversee investigations, and ensure compliance with OSHA, FMCSA/DOT, MSHA, and workers’ compensation regulations.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience supporting projects of similar size and construction type.
• Knowledge of OSHA or equivalent state‑plan regulations and FMCSA regulations.
• Experience with injury case management and workers’ compensation regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with safety inspections, pre‑task plans, job hazard analyses, trenching and excavation inspections, confined space entry permits, incident investigations, root cause analysis.
• Completion of OSHA 30‑Hour Construction within the last three years.
• One of the listed safety credentials or educational qualifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, IOSH, STS‑C, or a related degree).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop safety professionals.
• Partner with operational leadership to integrate safety into daily work.
• Strengthen safety programs and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide hands‑on field support across project sites.
• Lead incident investigations and prevention efforts.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, FMCSA/DOT, MSHA, workers’ compensation rules.
• Use data to drive improvement and reduce incidents.
• Champion continuous improvement and cross‑team communication.
