Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs for our energy services projects, ensuring a safe working environment for employees, subcontractors and partners while promoting accountability.

Based in Detroit area, you will conduct site audits, lead incident investigations, develop training, and maintain certifications to meet federal, state, and local regulations.

Salary up to $85,000 with comprehensive benefits; we value continuous improvement and a culture of safety across all crews.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of construction safety experience.
• Safety certifications and/or formal safety education.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass federally mandated drug and alcohol testing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, procedures, and policies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct jobsite safety audits, inspections, and hazard analyses for utility construction projects.
• Lead investigations on incidents, near misses, and injuries to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide classroom and field-based training on safety topics to employees and crews (small and large groups).
• Maintain all safety certifications, training records, and compliance documentation.
