Responsibilities

  • Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Build, manage, and continuously improve safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Training & Engagement: Lead onboarding, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
  • Perform Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular field visits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate Incidents: Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with OSHA, ANSI, and GWO requirements.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Evaluate work environments and develop proactive safety solutions.
  • Safety Leadership: Act as a visible safety leader in office and field.
  • PPE & Equipment Oversight: Verify proper use and maintenance of PPE.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers and Field Leaders to integrate safety into projects.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain safety records, training logs, audits, and reports.

Job description

The Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of 3S Americas’ safety programs to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and OSHA standards.

This role is 70% office-based and 30% field-focused, requiring a leader who can balance program management with direct field interaction. This role requires hands‑on experience in wind energy environments; construction experience is a plus. The candidate must be able to motivate field teams and foster a proactive culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Build, manage, and continuously improve safety policies and procedures that align with OSHA, ANSI, and GWO standards.
  • Conduct Training & Engagement: Lead onboarding, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training that motivate and connect with field teams.
  • Perform Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular field visits to identify hazards, reinforce safe practices, and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate Incidents: Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with OSHA, ANSI, and GWO requirements, ensuring all programs meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Evaluate work environments and develop proactive solutions to minimize potential hazards.
  • Safety Leadership: Act as a visible and trusted safety leader both in the office and in the field, promoting a strong safety culture across all levels.
  • PPE & Equipment Oversight: Verify proper use, maintenance, and availability of PPE and safety equipment.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers, Operations, and Field Leaders to integrate safety into all aspects of project execution.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate safety records, training logs, audits, and compliance reports.
