Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Safety Director to lead a culture of safety across the organization. You will develop and manage safety programs, conduct audits, train staff, and coordinate with OSHA and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant safety leadership experience.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends from safety data.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills to inspire safety throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies for compliance and culture.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections; ensure equipment is safe and procedures followed.
• Organize and lead safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies including OSHA and ensure timely reporting.
• Collaborate with management and staff to identify and mitigate safety risks.
• Monitor and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and improvements.
• Maintain safety documentation such as manuals, training materials, and incident reports.
• Lead the safety committee and promote cross-functional safety collaboration.
