Safety Coordinator – Construction/Industrial

Louisville, KY | ~$70K–$80K base + bonus + travel incentives
Full-time | M–F, flexible hours | up ~ 50% travel

A growing industry leader specializing in field services and engineering for rotating machinery is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead safety efforts across multiple regional field offices. This role is ideal for someone passionate about safety who leads by example and values integrity, training, and field engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and implement OSHA 1926 & MSHA 48B safety programs
• Deliver new hire and refresher training (OSHA/MSHA)
• Ensure compliance with 3rd-party training platforms (ISNet, Avetta, Gatefeed, TappiSafe)
• Support job quoting with safety input and planning
• Conduct site audits and injury investigations
• Provide in-house training (e.g. First Aid, Rigging)
• Lead and coach a behavior-based safety culture
• Travel ~50% to support other U.S. sites

Requirements:

• 5+ years of safety leadership in construction or industrial settings
• OSHA 1926 and/or MSHA 48B credentials (or ability to obtain)
• Experience managing 3rd-party compliance platforms
• Strong communication, leadership, and field engagement skills
• Welding or rotating equipment experience is a plus

Compensation & Perks:

• $70K–$80K base salary upon direct hire
• Combat Pay: $100–$200/day for travel (post-direct hire)
• Quarterly Bonus: 2–5%
• While on contract:
  • ~ +/- $33.65–$38.46/hr
  • $100/day retroactive combat pay
  • All travel expenses & per diem covered

• Location: Onsite – Louisville, KY (40243)
• Schedule: M–F, 8–5 (flexible start/end times)
• Travel: ~50% to key sites in TX, IA, AL, UT, SC
• Direct Reports: Manages 3 Safety Coordinators
