Safety Manager (PR/613120) Baltimore, Maryland
We're partnering with a well-established ENR-ranked electrical contractor seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects across Maryland.
This is an opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with operations teams, and driving a proactive safety culture rather than simply enforcing compliance.
You'll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead safety initiatives on active electrical construction jobsites
- Conduct regular site audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee training
- Partner with project teams to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Support workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and reporting requirements
- Review subcontractor safety documentation and compliance records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and company policies
- Maintain safety records, audits, training documentation, and EHS software systems
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture across multiple project teams
What We're Looking For
Required
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- Experience supporting electrical construction projects
- OSHA 30 Certification
- OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500
- NFPA 70E Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong understanding of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 regulations
- Ability to conduct site inspections, investigations, and safety training
Preferred
- CHST, CSP or similar safety certification
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience supporting data center, commercial, industrial, healthcare, or mission-critical projects
