Just Construction Recruitment seeks an experienced EHS / Safety Coordinator to support electrical construction projects across the United States. You will help ensure OSHA compliance, develop safety plans, and coach field personnel on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
This field-based role requires strong communication, documentation skills, and the ability to work on diverse sites including commercial, industrial, healthcare and data center environments.
Our client is a rapidly growing national electrical contractor with operations across the United States and a strong portfolio of work across commercial, industrial, healthcare and mission-critical/data center construction.
With a large workforce and an extensive project portfolio, the business is continuing to expand its operations and is looking to add an experienced EHS / Safety Coordinator to support its electrical construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within construction safety and gain exposure to some of the most complex electrical and mission-critical projects in the country.
The EHS / Safety Coordinator will provide on-site safety support and guidance across electrical construction projects, helping project teams maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements and project-specific safety standards.
Depending on the size and complexity of the project, the successful candidate may independently oversee safety activities on smaller projects or work alongside an EHS Manager on larger and more complex sites.
The role will have a strong focus on hazard identification, incident prevention, safety documentation and employee engagement, while helping develop and maintain a strong safety culture across the project.
The ideal candidate will have 0–5 years of experience within construction safety, environmental health or occupational safety.
Experience within commercial, industrial or electrical construction is preferred, while previous mission-critical or data center experience would be highly advantageous.
The position will require travel to project sites as required.
Per diem may be provided where applicable for qualifying travel assignments.
This is a field-based construction safety position and requires an active presence on construction sites.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working outdoors and navigating active construction environments, including uneven terrain, stairs, ladders and areas with typical construction hazards.
The role may involve extended periods of standing and walking, as well as bending, kneeling and reaching.
Candidates should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and around construction noise and other site hazards.
Appropriate PPE will be required at all times where applicable.
This position offers a strong career path for someone looking to progress within construction safety.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their experience across increasingly complex projects, with a potential progression into EHS Manager and senior safety leadership positions as their technical knowledge, project experience and leadership capabilities develop.
If you have construction safety experience, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E and a genuine interest in developing your career within electrical and mission-critical construction, we'd be keen to speak with you.
