Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking a Safety Manager to lead our safety program across the continental U.S. and Canada, supporting NC operations and multiple locations. You will own workers’ compensation administration, guide injury claims, and partner with managers to return employees to work safely.

You will analyze injury data, design training, ensure OSHA compliance, and develop tools and best practices. The role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented leader willing to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in health and safety, preferably in construction or field service.
• Demonstrated experience administering workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
• OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to analyze safety and claims data.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage the workers’ compensation program end to end, including submission and claims management.
• Serve as primary contact for injured employees and guide them through the process.
• Identify light-duty options and drive effective return-to-work plans.
• Monitor open claims, review claims, and control program costs.
• Analyze injury data to identify trends and root causes; report findings to leadership.
• Develop and deliver safety training for employees and managers.
• Identify safety training needs across locations and implement programs.
• Ensure OSHA recordkeeping and reporting of injuries; support incident investigations.
• Provide EHS tools, standards, and training materials; support customers and vendors.
• Travel up to 50% as required.
