This Team Lead role reports directly to the EHS Manager. The lead assists leadership with daily activities regarding Environmental, Safety, and Health to ensure that the plant meets environmental, safety, health, quality, delivery, and cost goals. The Lead communicates daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and expectations within the facility. They will be involved in most operational environmental, safety, and health aspects of all shifts, providing valuable feedback to Supervisors and Managers regarding safety program performance and employee engagement.

How you'll perform the role
  1. Champion safety programs to promote a safety-first culture at the plant.
  2. Create, revise, and update safety training materials.
  3. Assist with maintaining all records related to environmental, safety, and health programs.
  4. Lead the safety orientation program for new hires, visitors, and contractors.
  5. Create and update JSA's, MOC's, Safety Dojo's, LOTO, A3's, and other safety requirements to sustain and improve them.
  6. Design and build safety solutions.
  7. Coach employees and provide feedback on safety practices.
  8. Participate in safety HPTs and serve as a backup to the EHS Manager.
  9. Conduct EHS inspections and assessments promptly.
  10. Assist with online EHS applications like GenSuite, SDS Database, Humantech, etc.
  11. Attend location meetings and communicate relevant information to the team.
  12. Adhere to and continually learn ESH regulations to grow the ESH culture.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned, including working at the same or lower classification levels.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; recognized international diplomas may need translation.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
  • At least two years' experience in a manufacturing environment, familiar with operational processes.
  • Knowledge of Standard Work, 5S, Lean, and equipment operation; ability to multitask.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills; ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Legible writing, and ability to read and speak English.
  • Strong interpersonal, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and aptitude for learning programs like Gensuite and Humantech.
  • Willingness to learn OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Basic shop math and measuring skills.
  • Occasional travel for training or sharing best practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including all shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Support and adhere to Parker’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures.
