The Antarctic Infrastructure and Modernization for Science (AIMS) project, an initiative of the National Science Foundation's (NSF) United States Antarctic Program (USAP), is a major capital investment supporting Antarctic science. The project aims to modernize infrastructure at McMurdo Station to ensure it remains a viable platform for science for the next 35 to 50 years. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will ensure the project safety plan is implemented and adhered to, in line with corporate policies and USAP safety requirements. Your role includes inspecting the site, documenting safety issues, guiding safety practices, coordinating with safety and construction teams, managing PPE inventory, conducting site orientations, and performing basic safety measurements. You will also represent the safety & health manager as needed.
