This job description outlines primary duties and minimum requirements for a safety-related role at Atmos Energy.
Primary Duties include:
- Conducting injury and vehicle incident reviews to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Providing guidance and direction to employees and contractors to promote workplace safety.
- Monitoring safety practices and conditions, recommending corrections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assisting in developing and conducting safety training programs, demonstrating safety equipment, and facilitating tests.
- Participating in safety team meetings and providing leadership training to improve safety efforts.
- Maintaining safety records for reporting purposes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Educational/Experience Level: Bachelor's Degree with two years of relevant safety experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with six years of relevant experience.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
- Numeric Skills: Ability to analyze ratios, percentages, and basic statistics.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
- Work Conditions: Ability to work indoors and outdoors, with physical activities such as bending, stooping, and lifting; overnight travel may be required.
