Job summary

Nova Lines is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Operations & Safety department. You will evaluate driver performance, assist in safety investigations, and help implement corrective actions through coaching and retraining.

Responsibilities include monitoring driver ETAs, coordinating with Operations and Orientation, and maintaining accurate safety records. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and professional handling of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Strong HOS knowledge.
• Flatbed load securement procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial transportation safety practices preferred.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn company systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information and identify potential causes of safety-related events.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate safety events, such as load shifts and hours-of-service concerns, and identify root causes.
• Gather and review driver statements, inspection reports, photos, and operational data.
• Escalate significant safety concerns to the Safety Team Lead or Operations Manager.
• Support driver coaching by collecting documentation and performance data.
• Monitor driver ETAs and coordinate with Safety and Operations on scheduling.
