Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is offering a 12-week Safety Internship program across multiple nationwide locations, including Palatka, FL. Interns will gain exposure to occupational safety, health, industrial hygiene, and process safety while working with EH&S professionals on real-world projects.

This in-person internship emphasizes mentoring, networking events, and leadership development, helping participants connect classroom learning with manufacturing operations and future career opportunities at Koch

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree or alternative program (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program).
• Ability to relocate per program requirements
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2028
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Interact with EH&S professionals who will help you connect classroom learnings to a real-world manufacturing site
• Streamline safety processes and procedures
• Participate in incident investigations, chemical monitoring, or safety inspections
• Gain experience in safe work practices, emergency response, and support our vision of injury-free operations
• Understand, develop, and apply Principle Based Management
