Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking Safety Interns for a 12‑week summer program in 2027 at various nationwide locations, including Huntsville, AL. Interns gain real work experience in safety, health, and environmental functions and participate in mentoring and networking events.

You'll work with EH&S professionals, assist with safety processes, incident investigations, and inspections, and learn about Principle Based Management within Koch companies.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree or alternative program (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.).
• Ability to relocate per program requirements.
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2028.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Interact with EH&S professionals who will connect classroom learnings to a real-world manufacturing site.
• Streamline safety processes and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations, chemical monitoring, or safety inspections.
• Gain experience in safe work practices, emergency response, and injury-free operations.
• Understand, develop, and apply Principle Based Management.
