Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to support the Safety Department on North American projects. You’ll learn OSHA requirements, safety programs, and field procedures while contributing to site safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves assisting in policy development, audits, and on-site training, with opportunities to travel and relocate as needed. This internship is Full Time Temporary and offers hands-on construction management experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Monitor field activities for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Develop safe working conditions and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Support safety program audits, coaching, and onsite training.
• Willing to travel and relocate as projects require.
