Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) invites you to apply for the Safety Internship - Summer 2026. The program spans 10–12 weeks and exposes undergraduates and post-grads to CEI’s core markets: Commercial, Data Center, and Energy & Renewables. While CEI is headquartered in California, it operates projects nationwide, including New Mexico.

You will gain hands-on safety experience, learn from journeymen and leaders, and contribute to real-world projects in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current student studying Safety, EHS, or a related major.
• Licensure/certifications: None required.

Responsibilities

• Support Crew Foreman/General Foremen in developing Job Hazard Analyses.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and audit activities.
• Provide feedback to project leadership on safety improvements and recognition.
• Coach and mentor employees on safe/unsafe behaviors and recognize safe practices.
• Support weekly toolbox safety meetings led by Project Leadership.
• Assist in incident investigations as needed.
