Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is offering a Safety Internship for Summer 2026 across multiple locations, including New Mexico.

The program spans 10 to 12 weeks, exposing students to CEI’s core markets in Commercial, Data Center, and Energy & Renewables while engaging in real-world safety projects. Applicants should be current students in Safety, EHS or related fields, with no required prior experience, and must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Current student studying Safety, EHS, or a similar major.

Responsibilities

• Support Foreman in developing Job Hazard Analyses.
• Evaluate safety programs via daily field walks.
• Regulatory compliance and audit oversight.
• Provide feedback to project leadership on needed safety improvements.
• Coach and mentoring for employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors.
• Support weekly toolbox safety meetings.
• Assist in incident investigations.
