Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking Safety Interns for Summer 2027 at multiple nationwide locations. The 12-week program offers meaningful real-world EH&S experience, exposure to GP safety functions, and mentoring to prepare for a career on GP's safety team.

Interns will work with experienced EH&S professionals, participate in investigations and inspections, and gain hands-on knowledge in safe work practices, emergency response, and injury prevention, with opportunities to develop core management skills

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an approved safety/environmental health program.
• Ability to relocate per program requirements.
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2028.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa transfer or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Interact with EH&S professionals to connect classroom learnings to a real‑world manufacturing site.
• Streamline safety processes and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations, chemical monitoring, or safety inspections.
• Gain experience in safe work practices, emergency response, and injury prevention initiatives.
• Understand, develop, and apply Principle Based Management.
