Job summary

Goodfellow Bros Inc. invites applications for a Safety Intern in Hawaii, including Kapolei, Oahu.

You will work under supervision to support the company’s safety program, learning about construction activities, scheduling, risk assessments and preventive measures. The role involves documenting orientations, trainings, audits, incident reports and investigations, with a focus on hands-on experience in safety operations.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in safety, business, or related major at an accredited university.
• Travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and tracking orientations, trainings, audits, incident reports, and related documents.
• Assists in reporting incidents/accidents and investigations; prepares root-cause analyses.
• Liaises with safety personnel for investigations and reports.
• Coordinate safety events as directed by safety manager or division president.
• Support staff in assigned project-based work and help propagate corporate policies.

PositionSummary

AsaSafetyIntern,youwillhavetheopportunitytoapplyyouracademicknowledgeandtraininginareal-worldsetting.UndersupervisionofaRegionalSafetyManagerand/orDirectorofSafetyyouwillbeassistingwithfacilitationofthecompany'ssafetyprogramandprocesses.Youwilllearnhands-onaboutconstructionactivities,scheduling,riskassessments,planning,andimplementcorrectivemeasuresasnecessary;andatthesametimelearnwhataGBIsafetyprofessionaldoesonadailybasis.

PositionDescription

• 12-weekpaidinternshipsbetween$20to$24hourly.
