Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to learn and support the Project Safety Program at various project or office sites across North America. The role focuses on developing site safety policies, monitoring activities, and ensuring compliance with government and company standards.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in safety audits, training, coaching, and reporting. Travel and relocation may be required; you must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities for regulatory and company compliance.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and safety metrics.
