Job summary

Sonneborn, an HF Sinclair company, is seeking a motivated Safety Intern to join our Petrolia, Pennsylvania team. The intern will support safety documentation, data management, and SharePoint resources, gaining exposure to OSHA terminology and safety workflows.

The role involves assisting with audits, training materials, and safety communications, while collaborating with Safety leadership and procedure owners to uphold a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Completion of junior level courses is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with review, update, and organization of safety procedures, work instructions, SOPs, and other controlled documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support document control activities, including version management, reviews, record retention, and maintenance of document indexes.
• Maintain safety information systems, including SharePoint sites, document libraries, forms, and related records.
• Conduct record audits, verify data accuracy, and prepare reports and summaries.
• Assist with industrial hygiene monitoring activities (air sampling, noise monitoring, heat stress, confined space testing).
• Support PPE assessments and related safety initiatives.
• Participate in workplace safety audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
