Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is offering a Safety Summer Intern position. You will support site safety audits, help develop and deliver training, and participate in incident investigations while promoting a safety-first culture.

The role is at an industrial site with exposure to outdoor conditions, PPE provided, and collaborative work with multiple teams. Open to rising juniors or seniors pursuing relevant safety/environmental degrees.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Rising Junior or Senior
• Strong attention to detail and safety focus
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in teams

Responsibilities

• Support site safety audits and inspections to identify improvement opportunities
• Assist in development and delivery of safety training materials
• Participate in incident investigations and help implement corrective actions
• Analyze safety data and assist in reporting and compliance efforts
• Collaborate with teams to promote strong safety culture across operations
