Job summary

Sonneborn, an HF Sinclair company, seeks an Environmental Intern to support the Environmental Department with a variety of projects and compliance activities. You will work under supervision while gaining hands-on experience in environmental programs and operations.

The role involves research, data analysis, reporting, and assisting with regulatory tasks, with exposure to a petroleum refinery environment and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering; junior level coursework preferred.
• Basic knowledge of environmental concepts and EPA regulations required.
• Strong analytical and data handling abilities expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with environmental personnel on project assignments.
• Conduct research and analysis of environmental data and operating data.
• Prepare reports with recommendations for improvements.
• Oversee entry of records and documentation of emissions data.
• Perform technical/regulatory analysis, field sampling and testing, and report writing.
• Manage a project related to an environmental matter.
• Assist Environmental Manager with other duties.
