Job summary

Sonneborn, an HF Sinclair company, seeks an Environmental Intern to join the team in Petrolia, PA. The intern will assist the Environmental Department with projects, tasks, and compliance activities, under close supervision to gain hands-on experience in environmental programs and operations.

The role involves data analysis, report preparation, and entry of pertinent records in a refinery setting, with exposure to EPA regulations and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering.
• Junior-level coursework preferred.
• Basic knowledge of environmental concepts and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project assignments with environmental personnel.
• Conduct research and analysis of environmental and operating data.
• Provide reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee entry of records and documentation of excess emissions.
• Perform technical/regulatory analysis, field sampling, and report preparation.
• Manage a project related to an environmental matter.
• Assist with duties assigned by the Environmental Manager.
• Special assignments as determined by supervisor.
