Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Safety and Health Manager to lead the Safety & Health team and partner with site leadership on the Path to Zero strategy. You will apply Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) concepts to drive sustainable safety improvements.

The role requires managing hazard identification, risk assessment, and compliance with OSHA, PSM, and EPA safety elements, while developing the capabilities of staff and integrating safety into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of safety experience in a pulp and paper mill.
• Experience leading safety and health programs in industrial settings.
• Experience applying EHS management systems and OSHA standards.
• Experience developing direct reports and safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and strengthen the facility Safety & Health team.
• Partner with site leadership to execute safety strategies reducing risk.
• Apply HOP concepts to improve learning, investigations, knowledge sharing.
• Manage HIRA process and strengthen controls for hazards and energy safety.
• Ensure OSHA/PSM and EPA RMP compliance for safety elements.
• Build capability through onboarding, training, and resource partnerships.
• Drive audits, self‑assessments, and performance reviews for improvement.
