Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC’s Green Bay Broadway Mill is seeking a Safety Specialist to support all Green Bay operations. This salaried role reports to the Manager of Safety & Health Services and focuses on OSHA/GP compliance, industrial hygiene, risk assessments, and safety training.

You will lead safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Fall Protection, and Incident Investigation, coaching teams to improve performance and align with corporate safety objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering, or 3+ years in safety/health/leadership.
• Manufacturing/industrial safety experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach employees using Principle-Based Management framework.
• Identify hazards and assess risk in equipment and processes.
• Develop actionable safety strategies with measurable metrics.
• Develop and implement safety programs (Industrial Hygiene, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding).
• Support audits, inspections, and regulator interactions.
