Job summary

Ritter Communications, headquartered in Jonesboro, Arkansas, seeks a Safety & Health Specialist to act as the subject matter expert on workplace safety. You will promote a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to OSHA and USDOT requirements across the organization.

You will train personnel, conduct inspections, manage incidents, and lead safety initiatives with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field and 3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field with 3 years of experience, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead regulatory compliance and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and enforces safety programs and policies across locations to ensure compliance.
• Identifies training needs and delivers or coordinates training and maintains records.
• Conducts safety inspections and hazard assessments at sites and remote locations.
• Manages incidents end-to-end, including OSHA/USDOT reporting and investigations.
• Maintains regulatory knowledge and communicates updates to leaders.
• Leads safety committee and analyzes safety data to drive improvements.
• Travels to customer sites and Ritter locations as required; performs other duties.
