Job summary

FedEx Corporation is seeking an Operations Supervisor to champion the Safety Above All culture and manage daily sortation operations with a staff of handlers and administrative personnel. The role emphasizes safety, training, and performance management within FedEx policies and governmental regulations.

You will plan, organize, and control activities, lead meetings, and mentor junior supervisors to sustain high standards of reliability and service while controlling costs and maintaining quality

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification program or Associate’s degree acceptable in related area or 2+ years of college toward a degree.
• Six months of supervisor or package-handler experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach staff; hire, train, evaluate, and recognize performance.
• Plan and direct daily operations; manage safety, quality and productivity.
• Assign staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Monitor performance, analyze data, and implement improvement actions.
• Lead meetings and communicate updates and daily goals.
• Ensure compliance with FXG policies and safety programs.
• Address customer service issues and escalate as needed.
• Mentor new supervisors and adapt to changing business needs.
