Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Foreman-like supervisor in Texas to lead a small crew, ensuring safety, productivity, and adherence to project plans. You will coordinate daily activities, conduct toolbox talks, and resolve scheduling challenges with other crews and contractors.

The role requires strong leadership, OSHA-30, a Texas Journeyman Electrical license, and 5+ years of trades experience. Equal opportunity employer with employee-owned structure.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years as a qualified tradesperson in construction/MEP or related fields.
• Active OSHA-30 certification and Texas Journeyman Electrical license required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate, supervise, and ensure safety and productivity of a small work crew.
• Lead toolbox talks and address technical safety questions with authority.
• Oversee daily/weekly plans, assign tasks, and monitor quality and progress.
• Maintain timekeeping records, reports, and foreman’s log.
• Ensure compliance with job specs, plans, and safety policies.
• Mentor apprentices and coordinate on-the-job training with journeymen.
