Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Safety & Environmental Manager to lead comprehensive safety and environmental programs across the facility. You will implement policies that promote OSHA/EPA compliance, drive continuous safety performance, and foster a proactive safety culture among all employees.

The role requires developing training, conducting audits, and coordinating with HR on workers' compensation while ensuring robust environmental management and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety/Health & Environmental or equivalent experience.
• Experience with OSHA/EPA regulations and state requirements.
• Demonstrated incident investigation and root cause analysis expertise.
• Strong communication, leadership, and training abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• CSP/CHMM certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage safety programs to ensure OSHA and corporate compliance.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments with corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training and orientation programs.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; implement corrective measures.
• Support environmental compliance for air, water, and waste management.
• Coordinate with HR on workers' compensation and safety metrics.
• Promote a culture of accountability and continuous safety improvement.
• Assist with Lean initiatives and process safety improvements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on compliance actions.
