Job summary

Radius Recycling, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer I to join our production team in Sparks, NV. You will help produce core and scrap products, handle vehicles safely for parts reclamation, and support environmental compliance while upholding company policies.

You will work outdoors in an auto salvage yard, with a variable schedule including weekends and holidays. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer assistance, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, and PTO

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written safety instructions and labels.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to operate in outdoor weather conditions for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and promote the Pick-n-Pull Safety Culture; follow safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Adhere to company policies and model professionalism for the team.
• Safely remove Freon, power steering fluid, batteries, and other materials per procedures.
• Extract gasoline, coolant, waste oil, and other fluids per procedures.
• Position vehicles on wheel stands to provide customer access to sellable parts and prep for next vehicle set.
• Loosen mounts, remove tires and cores as prescribed.
• Remove heater cores, copper wire, and other designated materials; maintain crush pad area.
• Dismantle engines and transmissions, harvest wire and sort materials.
• Operate tire machine to separate tires and prepare rims for shipment.
• Collect dismantled core materials, address safety hazards in the customer area.
• Assist customers courteously, prepare Gaylord boxes and pallets; maintain stormwater controls.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
